ROVs consist of a surface control station, where operators monitor and control the vehicle's movements, and a submerged vehicle, connected via a tether or umbilical cord. The tether provides power, communication, and data transmission between the ROV and the surface. This arrangement ensures real-time feedback and allows operators to maneuver the ROV precisely.
